Firmware Flasher
"...and now my brains are going!"
[ DEVICE STATUS ]
Easy mode: plug in your Eagle 5 and click FLASH on any firmware card below. The badge reboots into the bootloader and takes the firmware on its own. No button gestures required. Your browser will ask for USB permission the first time.
Picking the right port: the badge shows up twice in the
USB picker (e.g. cu.usbmodem1101 and
cu.usbmodem1103), both labeled "Eagle 5."
Pick the lower-numbered one. That's the CLI / console
side this flasher needs. The other is the RNode KISS / Reticulum channel
and won't take the dfu command.

[ FALLBACK · MANUAL DFU ENTRY ]
If auto-DFU can't reach the bootloader (rare, usually a crashed boot or wedged USB), get there by hand:
- Power-cycle with the PWR switch, or plug in fresh USB.
- Watch the wing LEDs for a brief blue pulse right after boot. That's your window.
- While it pulses, double-press the USR button.
- The badge mounts as
FTHR840BOOT. - Drag the
.uf2onto that drive, or come back and click FLASH. Auto-DFU will pick up the bootloader port directly.
No blue pulse at all? Hold USR while flipping PWR off then on, and keep holding a couple seconds after power returns. Same FTHR840BOOT volume mounts.
